Generally a coaching assignment will start either as part of a development initiative and will leverage data taken from a psychometric and/or 360 assessment; or it will be driven by a need for the individual to improve their on-the-job performance.

Regardless of the driver, critical to ensuring the success of any coaching arrangement is the fit between the coach and the coachee – i.e. is there a ‘chemistry’?

Following data gathering and prior to any coaching taking place a 1:1 meeting takes place between the coachee and the proposed coach. If the coachee is happy they will benefit from the relationship an assignment commences. If not, the process is repeated until a coach with the required fit is identified.

A typical coaching process spread over 3 – 4 months is outlined.
